Natural fillings such as wool, cotton, cashmere and silk have the ability to regulate body temperatures throughout the winter and summer months.
Sandwiched between these deep fillings is an interior made up of small diameter pocket springs with each coil housed in its own cloth sleeve.
This flexibility means the load on one spring is not affected by any neighbouring springs, resulting in piston-like support to each part of your body.
An added feature that’s reserved for premium mattresses is side-stitching; a labour intensive and intricate technique that takes craftsmen many years to master.
Using high-tension twine and a long upholstery needle, the side-stitching process attaches the mattress border to the perimeter rows of springs.
This process strengthens the mattress border and prevents it from bowing out over the years. It also offers edge-to-edge support across its width.
