Upholstered in a 100% Viscose fabric, the mattress benefits from a traditional hand tufted finish that’s designed to ensure its deep natural fillings stay firmly in place.
The mattress interior features a unique make-up of 1000 central pocket springs, with 2000 mini tablet pocket spring layers on both sides for additional comfort.
Pocket springs are small in diameter compared to traditional open coils and housed in their own cloth sleeves that are totally independent of any surrounding springs.
An added feature of the mattress is its side stitched borders; a labour intensive and intricate technique that takes many years for craftsmen to master.
The side-stitching process involves the outer rows of springs being sewn to the mattress border by using high-tension twine and a long upholstery needle.
Providing edge-to-edge support and increasing the sleeping area by 20%, this highly skilled process ensures the mattress border will not bow out over time.
